Jill Sager is Founder and Director of Hands On Rhythm and Drum School and is an endorsed artist for TOCA Percussion, one of the top drum manufacturer's in the United States.
Classically trained on piano, Jill studied music theory and voice at New York's High School of Music and Art, the inspiration for the 1980 movie "FAME".
Today however, it is her dedication to helping others find their rhythm that engages most of her time. Since 2000, she has helped thousands learn to express themselves on drums, from professional musicians to closet drummers.
Jill's interest in hand drums developed while receiving her college degree in Therapeutic Recreation and Leisure Studies. Her long time passion for conga drums led to study in Cuba and to performances at such venues as Vancouver Folk Festival, Willamette Folk Festival, and Bellvue Arts Fair.
With the publication of her DVD and Book by Carl Fischer Music entitled Beginning Hand Drumming – A Guide to Recreation and Wellness, and her 25 year career of working with diverse populations in the field of community recreation, and skill and talent in music education, Jill has become a popular speaker and workshop leader with presentations to more than 100 organizations, conferences, and retreat centers including National Park and Recreation Association, Oregon Music Educators Association, Seattle World Rhythm Festival, and Indralaya Program Center.

Besides spreading the joy of drumming, Jill currently maintains a private practice as an intuitive counselor with clients throughout the United States. It is this eclectic mix of talents, diverse skills, and 25 years of work in the field of community recreation that has informed Jill's teaching philosophy and user-friendly style.
Jill now travels around the country guiding and inspiring others to connect to their spirit through her popular workshops and presentations.
